The Housewives: A Band Biography............
Hope Juber, lyricist, comedy writer and performer is the creator and beguiling leader of The Housewives. Juber has written situation comedies for Paramount and Universal television, including episodes of "The Brady Brides" and in a more macabre vein..."Little Shop", "The Munsters Today" and material for Elvira, Mistress of the Dark. She has had four musicals produced by Storybook Theater of Los Angeles and recently received the prestigious San Fernando Valley Theater League Artistic Director Award for the children's musical 'The Princess & The Frog'. Her recurring role as Rachel, Greg Brady's girlfriend on "The Brady Bunch" helped Juber begin her career in the entertainment industry, but it wasn't until she got married and had children that "The Housewives" was born. Surrounded by domesticity it seemed the perfect opportunity to combine her talents for writing and singing with those of her husband, composer and guitarist Laurence Juber. Together they have also written the score to "Gilligan's Island...The Musical" which which has enjoyed three production with a fourth opening in June '98. They co-produced Laurence's most recent albums 'Winter Guitar' and 'Mosaic'. The Jubers also collaborated on their two children, Nico and Ilsey.

Juber asked her friends Maggie Mayall and Lisa Harrison to sing with the group and the result has been delighting audiences ever since. Both Harrison and Mayall have contributed to the songwriting too.

Maggie Mayall, married to blues-man John Mayall, has soulful and powerful vocals. Born in Chicago, Mayall recieved her B.A. in Theater from Illinios State University. She then began her singing career with guitarist Harvey Mandell. After touring America Mandell's band was hired by John Mayall to do his back-up. Mayall then joined her husband on a world-wide tour, releasing a record and appearing on many radio and television shows.

Mayall then relocated to L.A. and became a featured performer with various bands in the area. She recorded an album of her own material and continued her acting studies. Her all-female rhythm and blues band, The Cadillacs, savored several triumphant tours of the West Coast. Mayall is also a featured songwriter on her husband's album "A Sense of Place". She and her husband have a son, Zack

Lisa Harrison, singer, actress and composer, appeared as a regular in the Emmy Award winnning television series "The Waltons". She has performed in theatrical productions around L.A. including several plays at the Mark Taper Forum. She joined The Celebrity USO Tour, and traveled throughout the world as a featured singer and dancer.

After forming a band with husband Joh Walmsley, Harrison had the opportunity to perform with such notables as The Doobie Brothers and Roy Acuff. The Walmsley-Harrison Band toured the United States appearing on countless radio and television shows. Her phenomenal voice has been heard on TV and radio commercials across the country. Harrison has recently given birth to her first child, Brighton.

Laurence Juber, the musical director and co-composer for The Housewives, is the former lead guitarist for Paul McCartney and Wings. A Grammy Award winner, Juber has two solo acoustic guitar albums currently available. He is the featured guitarist for "Home Improvement". He was the band leader for KNBC's "It's Fritz". He can be heard on dozens of hits songs from "Time Of My Life" and "Mad About You" to the scores of films such as "The Big Chill", "Splash" and "Doc Hollywood". As a composer his credits include the score to the CBS television movie "A Very Brady Christmas", the critically acclaimed Lorimar feature "World Gone Wild" and the BBC-TV movie "Little Sweetheart" as well as the international live-action TV series "Tarzan". He is currently performing with and producing singer/songwriter Al Stewart.

The Housewives: Quotes .............................
What people have to say about the fabulous Housewives:

"The Group is sitcom ready! The lyrics follow through. The time they've spent behind brooms and up to their elbows in dishwater and dirty diapers give their well-played music an undisputable air of authenticity."
                                                                      Daily Variety

"The Housewives, watch them clean up!"
                                                                       Los Angeles Magazine

"The Housewives have been attracting a lot of attention with their very clever presentation which incorporates fine vocals with hilarious comedy."
                                                                        Francesca Cappucci

"They're young, hip and they play a mean wshboard and broom guitar. The Housewives are cleaning up at L.A. night spots."
                                                                        Los Angeles Times

"Delightful, domestic and damn handy with a blues song."
                                                                        Bam

"The group is very hip! They're filling a 'vacuum' in the recording industry."
                                                                         Dorothy Lucey, KCBS News

"If you haven't seen The Housewives, you will. A show for the entire family, The Housewives will put a smile on your face and a warm feeling in your heart. If you can keep from laughing too hard at the lyrics and their delivery, and actually take a listen to the songs themselves, these are some well-constructed tunes."
                                                                         Music Connection

"Call them the divas of dishwter, or the songbirds of the kitchen sink."
                                                                          Family Circle Magazine

"Each one is an accomplished musician...their songs are inspired by their domestic deeds."
